She never paid her dues as a journalist and just married a far older, connected guy. The guests are just as bad and seem to fawn over her. Option journalists are just lazy journalists. Put the work in and report facts.
She is supremely annoying and smug. Certainly another less biased host can be found, she's not only painful to look at but listen to as well. Since then, I have not watched her work in front of the camera until this show. Andy Levy was of course on Red Eye during its entire ten year run, and I treasure his humor and political opinions even when I do not share them.
After watching this show for two months, I think I am ready to permanently turn it off. Perhaps SE Cupp was a better panelist than host, and I would say that this show goes a long way towards proving that. The format alone is a catastrophic identity crisis. SE Cupp goes from being silly like a cheap Kennedy knockoff to being serious, complete with moral lecturing.
Her presence is simply not one that I enjoy - perhaps a subjective matter. As for Andy, I think that he still brings his greatness, but he is severely underutilized, and even hindered in some cases. There are often entire blocks that he is not included in those would be the ones that I now fast forward through. However, Andy was not my sole reason for watching the show in the first place. The panel is actually often comprised of some talented and diverse sources opinion, from Dave Smith to Terry Schappert to Van Jones.
Yet, I don't think that they can save the show, as there are some weak panelists on as well. All too often, one person will do most of the talking for a block, and while a strong host would take charge and get more time to everyone else as the audience probably actually wants , but this is just not the case here. I am disappointed that I find myself unable to enjoy his new venture. I hope that in the near future there are extensive changes to the show allow for more of his creativity to shine through.
Glad I haven't seen this show on lately. I turned it off whenever it was on. The day she had a bug up her butt about Hillary Clinton was the last time I left the channel on her show.
She's the Anne Hathaway of the news industry except louder, but still just as annoying and just as stupid. The humorist reunited with Cupp by signing on as a producer and panelist on "Unfiltered" over the summer. While "Unfiltered" usually leads with the daily narrative that is the Trump presidency, Cupp believes there are plenty of other topics and stories that cable news shows may be missing. The venerable debate show was often pre-empted due to CNN's all-in approach to covering the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight , however, and could never gain its footing in building an audience.
It was canceled after just a year. While Cupp says she understands the importance of ratings and marketing a program on a network that has struggled to capture a sizable audiences in recent years, she believes the ultimate reward is sharing perspectives that can occasionally lead to actual agreement or a change of heart.
She noted that hearing each other out is a rarity in the increasingly combative world of cable news panels. We're not just doing this for our health. View the discussion thread. Skip to main content. Tags S.
