There are also stripper-led labor movements, such as Soldiers of Pole. The tension between the world of pole as a hobby and stripping is a long-simmering that predates Strip Down, Rise Up. Smiling and having a good-time sets the mood of venue which can make it look like people are enjoying themselves.
Go-go dancers put the energy in the party. Not smiling puts out the vibe that you are not having fun and can make people leave. People come out to enjoy themselves so be sure to keep their spirits up. Besides, why not have fun when you are dancing!
